“Focus on academic and social skills is very helpful in getting ready for kindergarten. However, there are two issues that inconvenience us. One is the closing of the daycare on Columbus Day and President’s Day that require us to find alternate route for childcare while the parents have to go to work on those two days. Kiddie Academy is a daycare, not a school. Another issue is that having a basket full of candies by the entrance/exit door really interferes with parents trying to get the children to eat the dinner. It’s a struggle to fight with children wanting to have the candies on their way home and parents who are trying to feed them dinner before the children consume sweets in the car on their way home and lose their appetite for dinner. The basket full of candies is not needed for children and actually removal of it would reduce the daycare some unnecessary expenses.”
